“Caregiving for the Elderly” is a comprehensive course designed to equip caregivers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to provide effective and compassionate care for elderly individuals. This course covers various aspects of elder care, including understanding the physical and emotional needs of older adults, managing common health conditions, and ensuring safety and comfort in the home environment. Participants will learn how to communicate effectively with elderly individuals, provide assistance with daily activities, and support their overall well-being. The course also explores the challenges caregivers face and offers strategies for self-care and managing caregiver stress.
Course Objectives:
- Understand the physical and emotional needs of elderly individuals: Learn to identify the common health and emotional challenges faced by older adults, including mobility issues, cognitive decline, and mental health concerns.
- Learn to assist with daily living activities: Gain knowledge on providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and helping with mobility.
