
Digital Awareness Event Conducted by Youth Future Lab at Best ICT
Youth Future Lab successfully conducted a Digital Awareness Event on Saturday, 21st February 2026, at Best ICT Training Centre in Mutunguru, bringing together learners and community members for an engaging and educational experience. The event underscored Youth Future Lab’s commitment to promoting digital literacy, innovation, and inclusion, while highlighting the organization’s broader mission of equipping young people with practical, future-ready skills. Best ICT Training Centre, a project of Youth Future Lab, provided an ideal learning environment aligned with this vision.

The half-day programme began with registration activities coordinated by Caroline Macharia , who welcomed participants, recorded feedback, and guided attendees into the session. The event officially opened with remarks delivered by Alice, the Master of Ceremony, who set the tone by emphasizing the importance of digital awareness in today’s technology-driven world. She encouraged learners to actively participate and take advantage of the knowledge-sharing opportunity.

Caroline led the first presentation on Digital Inclusion and ICT Overview, where she explained the concept of equitable access to digital tools and opportunities. Her session highlighted the growing role of ICT in education, business, and communication, helping participants understand how digital skills can enhance both personal and professional development. Learners were encouraged to view digital literacy as an essential competency for navigating modern challenges and opportunities.

The event then moved into an engaging and thought-provoking session on Artificial Intelligence (AI), presented by Joseph Wambua. After a short health break, Peter Kamau delivered a session on Digital Marketing and Opportunities in the Digital Era. His presentation covered marketing fundamentals, the strategic use of social media, and the importance of online branding. Learners gained valuable insights into how ICT supports business visibility and entrepreneurship, making the session particularly relevant for participants interested in digital enterprise.

Alice later introduced ICT training opportunities available through Kutambua, outlining courses designed to build practical, employable skills.
