Safeguarding – Safeguarding Awareness (Basic) – CPD

The Safeguarding Awareness (Basic) course is a foundational training designed to provide essential knowledge and awareness to a broad audience, including all staff, volunteers, trustees, and new recruits.

The course is structured as a 4-hour session, making it accessible while ensuring comprehensive coverage of key safeguarding principles. This training introduces participants to the concept of safeguarding, helping them understand its importance in protecting individuals, particularly those who may be vulnerable. Through guided instruction and practical examples, learners are supported in recognizing the basic signs and indicators of abuse, enabling early identification and appropriate response.

A core component of the course focuses on reporting procedures, ensuring that participants are clear on how to raise concerns in a safe, timely, and responsible manner.
