The UWA Winthrop Scholarship is automatically awarded to eligible high-achieving Year 12 students to encourage and assist them to commence and undertake undergraduate studies at The University of Western Australia (‘the University’). Eligible candidates will be automatically considered for the scholarship and do not need to submit an application.
UWA Winthrop scholarship Australia is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at University of Western Australia.
Following subject are available to study under this scholarship program.

Undergraduate Degree Programme in Physical Sciences and Mathematics, Engineering, Education, Architecture, Design and Planning, Business and Law, Data and Technology, Music, Visual and Performing Arts, Life, Agriculture and Environmental Science, Health and Medicine, Humanities and Social Sciences.
International Students are eligible
The University of Western Australia will provide an award amount of $20,000.00 to encourage and assist eligible high-achieving Year 12 students for the academic year 2020/2021.
To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
- Must have applied through the Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) whilst in Year 12 for a place at the University and recommend a course at the University as their first preference in the first round of offers.
- Must have accomplished an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of at least 99.90.
- Must have been selected for a UWA Fogarty Foundation grant and achieve the required ATAR as outlined in their conditional letter of offer 2.
- Must have attained other academic or outstanding achievement as per the Coursework Scholarships Committee.
