The Kickstart Scheme helps employers, by providing funding for them to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on universal credit, who are at risk of long term unemployment.

This Government will pay:

  • 100% of National Minimum Wage for 25 hours for a total of 6 months.
  • Associated employer NI contributions.
  • Employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions.
  • Plus a  grant of £1,500 for setup and training costs.

Kickstart For Young People

If you’re aged 16-24 and claiming Universal Credit, you might be able to get a six-month job with a local employer through the Kickstart Scheme. Kickstart jobs are funded by the Government to offer exciting opportunities for young people to gain valuable work experience.

Kickstart is a great opportunity. Not only does it give you access to a six-month paid job, but you will also get valuable experience to build up your CV, extra support to boost your future job prospects, and help to start your career.

Kickstart for Employers

As a DWP-approved Kickstart Gateway, we have submitted successful applications on behalf of our clients. As a result, we have a wealth of experience of dealing with the DWP and in particular, knowing the critical success factors for ensuring an application is approved.

Our Employability Training program is an extremely user-friendly online portal that guides young people through a number of training modules as well as providing a unique suite of videos, tools, assessments, and expert advice. It offers the full range of soft skills training on topics such as communication, team working and time management, as well as practical tools and advice on topics including CV writing, interviewing, and job searching.
