Audit is an important mechanism for regularly reviewing and evaluating the processes you have within your workplace. It enables us to recognise where there are gaps in the way we do things, and helps us to plan how to fill those gaps with new processes for getting things right!
In healthcare for example, audit is the way we monitor the quality of care delivered to those receiving the care we provide. Audit also shows us where things are not working as well as we would like them to.
