Gang & Knife Crime Awareness

Course Description

There is need for early intervention measures to combat the ever increasing incidences of injuries and deaths as a result of knife crimes. Teenagers and young adults need to know the dangers of carrying a knife, not only to others but also to themselves. Apart from increasing your risk of getting injured while carrying a knife, it is also illegal to carry one. 

A police officer has permission to stop and search you if they suspect that you are carrying a knife or any other weapon. If a knife is found in your possession, you face up to four years in jail; this means that you will have a criminal record which will negatively affect you in the future especially when looking for employment.

Entry Requirements

This course can be taken by anyone who wants to learn more about knife crimes and its consequences. People who frequently engage with the youth such as teachers, games coaches, school club patrons, parents, and church youth ministers are also suitable for the course to impart the knowledge on their members.

Learning Requirements

You should have a laptop, dependable internet connectivity, and a working email address to take this course.
