About this event
This course is part of our multi-agency training programme aimed at any staff, volunteers and carers working with or supporting young people.
Training is delivered in partnership with the local police.
Training is FREE to all those working in Nottingham City and Southern Boroughs (Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe).
This training will be delivered via MS Teams and all joining instructions and links will be sent out prior to delivery.
This course aims to increase awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) for participants who work directly with young people. It enables them to respond appropriately and confidently to concerns or disclosures and manage cases effectively.
The course offers participants the opportunity to:
- Update knowledge and understanding in relation to CSE, the different ways it can occur and associated legislation.
- Recognise signs and indicators of CSE in order to ensure early intervention and support.
- Be able to manage suspicions and disclosures effectively and take appropriate action.
- Be able to act in accordance with Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board CSE Practice Guidance and Pathways and be aware of other local intelligence gathering initiatives.
