      Training

City & Guild Accredited Training Courses

      • Date 05/04/2022

VIY offers young people (ages 16-24), those not in education, employment or training (NEET), those at risk of becoming so or becoming disengaged, the opportunity to get free trades and construction experience working on community projects in their area!

We look to have up to 10 young people on each project site every week, offering placements on a week-by-week basis for each project duration. This is a FREE opportunity for young people to get involved in community work at venues they may use and benefit from, learn new vocational skills, meet new people and have the opportunity to gain City & Guilds accreditations, globally recognised qualifications that could help with employment opportunities in the future. VIY can also provide assistance with transport and lunch depending on individual circumstance.

VIY is mindful of Ramadan beginning at the start of April. Our team at VIY is ensuring our project venues are a safe and supportive environment for those practicing Ramadan, offering support and adjustments for those who are fasting and ensuring individuals have the time and space for prayer if and when they need to.
