Following the October 2021 Breast Cancer Awareness Month tradition, two resources that aim to draw attention upon awareness and monitoring breast cancer are highlighted.
The first resource is a short video interview with Dr Cliona Kirwan provided by the UK organization Prevent Breast Cancer. Focusing on drawing awareness around the prevention of breast cancer, Dr Cliona shares the key facts on how, when, and why to check your own breasts.
The second resource consists of the “SHARE Breast Cancer Awareness Webinar”. SHARE, is a national non-profit organization that supports, educates, and empowers women affected by breast, ovarian, uterine cancer, with a special focus on medically underserved communities. The webinar will take place on Wednesday 17th of November 2021, 5:30 UK Time and will be hosted by Olympia Cepeda MPH, the LatinaSHARE Manager & Outreach Coordinator, who will aim to mediate the importance of awareness, prevention, and early detection of Breast Cancer.
